Pastor Mike Robertson grew up in Southern California, where he played baseball at USC before going on to a professional baseball career. During that time, he met and married his wife, Tanya.
In 1998, while playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Mike surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. Just a few weeks later, Tanya also gave her life to the Lord.
After spending ten seasons in professional baseball, the Lord placed a calling on Mike’s heart to plant a church in Houston. In 2001, Mike retired from baseball and moved his family to Houston to start a Calvary Chapel.
What began as a small home Bible study in January 2002 grew into Calvary Chapel West Houston.
Mike and Tanya have been married over 30 years. They are blessed with four children. For more than two decades, Mike has faithfully served as Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel West Houston, while Tanya leads the women’s ministry. Mike can also be heard daily on CCWH’s radio program, “Your Word,” airing on 100.7 FM.
