Our Vision:
“For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ”. 1 Corinthians 3:11
Jesus:
Junior High is a time marked by the transition to independence. The experiences and teachings the youth receive during this critical time will shape their outlook on life, relationships, and God in the years to come. We believe it is important that this starting point be built upon the solid foundation of Jesus Christ and God’s Word.
We do this by mirroring the main services’ verse-by-verse teaching in a way that is practical for the youth. We encourage questions and open discussion of difficult topics such that the students not only know what they believe but why they believe it. We want to live and operate in such a way that we are modeling a genuine relationship with Jesus in all facets of life. We want them to learn dependence on Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We desire that the youth will run their race with endurance (Heb. 12) and our aim is to help them establish a Biblical starting point.
What we do:
We meet on Sunday mornings at 11am and Wednesday evenings at 7pm in the Junior High Room (Soon to the Red Room). During our time we worship together, study God’s word, pray and hang out.
We join with the High School group for various events and outings throughout the year, such as our annual winter camp and summer activities.
Counseling and Discipleship opportunities are also available.
Serving:
We encourage the Junior High student to take a step of faith and serve, to use the gifts and callings that God has placed upon their lives. They are the next generation of the church!
