The greeters & ushers ministry exists to welcome people to Calvary Chapel West Houston. Service opportunities exist for Sunday and Wednesday services, and for special events.

As a greeter & usher you may be involved in one or more of the following areas:

• Welcome people to Calvary Chapel West Houston with the love of Christ
• Hand out bulletins
• Direct visitors to various areas of the church (ie: children’s ministry, Jr. High, restrooms, fellowship hall)
• Assist with handing out Bibles and ushering people to seats
• Monitoring the foyer and encouraging people to enter the sanctuary prior to the commencement of worship
• Praying with and encouraging people as the Lord leads

Calvary Surf Side is our children’s ministry program at Calvary Chapel West Houston. Our desire for your children is for them to “know Jesus, and make Him known”.

It is our desire to share the love of Jesus Christ with children and give every child the opportunity to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Each of our classrooms will have a time of age appropriate Christ centered worship, prayer, scripture memorization, crafts, games and activities that reinforce the Bible lesson and a time to learn what the Lord would have them to know from His Word, and then respond to Him. We desire to see each child come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior at an early age, and to encourage them to walk with Him their whole lives. Lessons are given straight from the Word of God.

Our heart is to equip children in God’s Word in a safe environment. So, they can grow in their walk with The Lord.

The church maintenance and repair ministry involves helping to complete minor repairs and maintenance to the church facilities. Such projects include but are not limited to:

• Changing Air Filters
• Mowing The Lawn
• Changing Light Bulbs
• Touch Up Painting
• Replacing or Repairing Broken Fixtures Throughout The Buildings
• Completing More Complicated Repairs As The Needs Arise.

Whether you are a skilled craftsman, a contractor or just have a willing heart to help, sign up to be a part of the maintenance ministry to be notified of specific opportunities and then join us as the Lord guides you.  We look forward to serving with you.

The café ministry exists to encourage Christ like fellowship among those who attend services and events at Calvary Chapel West Houston. The café provides coffee and tea before and after church services and special events. We also host Koinonia Pot Lucks and provide the food for special events.

There are several ways to get involved with the café ministry.

Help directly in the café:

• Making coffee and setting up the café area before services / events (arrive approximately 45 min prior to service or event)
• Keeping the café area neat, clean and supplied during fellowship time
• Cleaning the kitchen / café area after services / events (stay approximately 1 ½ hour after service /event)

Help with Koinonia Pot Lucks and special events:

• Set up facilities.
• Receive and set up food.
• Keeping café / event area neat, clean and supplied during fellowship time
• Clean up facilities.

Help with food for special events.

Come help others stay connected and involved by sharing with the body all that is taking place in the ministry. We need volunteers 20 minutes before and after services.
